Morning! I am becoming a bit of a stickler for online safety lately. Aside from a strong password manager, what is one simple thing I can do to protect myself from phishing and identity theft? I feel like my email is just too exposed everywhere I go.

Hey! It is great that you are leveling up your security game. One of the most effective habits I have picked up is creating a "buffer zone" for my personal data. I stop giving my real email to any site that does not absolutely need it. Instead, I use a temp box for all my daily browsing and one-time downloads. I have been relying on TempBox because they use zero-access encryption, so my temporary messages stay private. This habit protects me from phishing because most of that junk goes to an address that disappears in an hour. It is a huge relief knowing that my main account is not out there in a thousand different databases just waiting to be targeted.
